Educational Impact & Testimonials

During the August 2025 to June 2026 school year, Dr. McCabe marked his eighth year teaching at a Title I high school in Northern Virginia. Throughout this time, he and his colleagues have guided thousands of students through the challenges of high school—helping them graduate and step confidently into an ever-evolving world as responsible, capable adults.

Earlier in his career, Dr. McCabe also spent three years teaching a diverse range of learners, including adults, middle school students, and elementary students during the 1970s. This breadth of experience reflects a lifelong commitment to education and mentorship across generations.

What Educators Are Saying

Seven Speeches is a powerful and inspiring read that offers meaningful guidance for students preparing to graduate. Its messages are uplifting, accessible, and deeply motivating—an ideal companion for young people stepping into the next chapter of their lives. I believe it could be very beneficial for seniors as they reflect on their growth and look ahead with confidence and purpose.

This book contains great examples and life lessons. It made me think back to my graduation, over four decades ago, and wish that I had been given this advice then.

Seven Speeches is an exciting handbook to living life at any age! Dr. McCabe writes with a confident optimism laced with humor as he encourages graduates to develop an “attitude of gratitude” – appreciate your achievements, remember the determination it takes to overcome obstacles, and be thankful for the people who help you.
Through effective and interesting real life examples, the author also explores the importance of friendships, collaboration, taking chances, patience, and innovation, as well as other life skills.
As a former ESL teacher, I also appreciate that the book is available in bilingual editions with English text from the front to the middle and the other language text from “the other front” to the middle. Wonderful idea.
I highly recommend this very useful book for commencement speakers, students, and counselors. It also would make a perfect gift for graduates as a handbook or a guide to a joyous and successful future!

L.M.S., Teacher (Retired) Wisconsin

I enjoyed all the encouraging speeches the author has written for new graduates.
I wish I had been given such a booklet at my graduation ceremony, as it might
have changed the trajectory of my life.
